FIRE SAFETY SOLUTIONS COMPLETES THE NEW FORMS 1,2,3 & 4 AS PER PART A OF SANS 10400 FOR ALL NEW PROJECTS.

THE FORMS ARE A CLEAR INDICATION OF THE VARIOUS DISCIPLINES AND RESPONSIBILITIES BY COMPETENT, REGISTERED PERSONS FOR VARIOUS PARTS OF SANS 10400.

FORM 1 - COMPLETED BY ARCHITECT/ OWNER - PART T (FIRE PROTECTION) REQUIRES THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE TO COMPLETE THE MEANS OF SATISFYING REQUIREMENTS OF FUNCTIONAL REGULATIONS AND THAT THE FIRE PROTECTION MEASURES PROVIDED ARE

1. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DETAILED REQUIREMENTS OF SANS 10400-T AND

2. THE SUBJECT OF A RATIONAL DESIGN OR RATIONAL ASSESSMENT.

 

FORM 2 - AS ECSA REGISTERED PROFESSIONAL FIRE ENGINEERS, FIRE SAFETY SOLUTIONS COMPLETES THE DUTIES FOR WHICH WE ARE APPOINTED, I.E. THE FIRE PROTECTION PART T) AND/ OR FIRE INSTALLATION (PART W)  SYSTEM.

FORM 3 - OUR ECSA REGISTERED PROFESSIONAL TEAM COMPLETES THEIR COMPONENT OR ELEMENT OF SYSTEMS FOR WHICH APPROVAL WAS GRANTED, I.E. MECHANICAL ENGINEERS (SMOKE EXTRACTION SYSTEM), ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS (FIRE ALARM & DETECTION AND EMERGENCY EVACUATION COMMUNICATION SYSTEM), ETC.

FORM 4 - AS ECSA REGISTERED PROFESSIONAL FIRE ENGINEERS, WE ISSUE THE CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION OF THE FIRE PROTECTION (PART T) OR FIRE INSTALLATION (PART W) SYSTEM IN TERMS OF SECTION 14(2A) OF THE ACT FOR WHICH APPROVAL WAS GRANTED.

ENSURE THAT YOU DEAL WITH KNOWLEAGABLE PERSONS WHO ARE BOTH COMPETENT AND PROFESSIONALLY REGISTERED WITH THE ENGINEERING COUNCIL OF S.A. (ECSA) AS PART OF THE PROFESSIONAL TEAM OF EACH PROJECT.

IFE (SA) MEMBER ACHIEVES PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION WITH ECSA


" One of our Cape Town Members, Marius le Roux MIFireE; has recently been successfully registered as a Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).

Marius' application as a Candidate Engineering Technician was based on Mentorship and Referral by Professional Engineers having contextual knowledge of his work followed by an interview process with ECSA.

Congratulations to Marius on his excellent achievement!"
